Well what a taradiddle the comp turned out to be. For an afternoon comp there was not that much lift apart from a purple patch in the middle. People who did a couple of flights in that scored quite well. There were also a number of zero scores from people overestimating the glide angle of their machines. A few people didn’t make it into the field, never mind the landing box! Poor old Peter maxed out but missed the box, dropping him down the field (literally)
I can explain my poor performance. Last time the wings had raindrops on them and this seems to improve the glide. Next time I shall spray the wings before each flight. Sneaky, eh?
