The site is controlled by a Control Panel.

Access to the control panel is via the administrator directory.

Access is restricted to certain Groups. Manager, Administrator, Super Administrator.

Users are classified as Public, Registered, Authors, Editors, Publishers.

Joomla works on Articles rather than pages.

Articles are classifed as Public, Registered or Special

Most of the site will be Public. No logon required for access.

Some of the site may be classified as Registered or Special and login will be required for access.

The layout of each page is controlled by the Joomla Template selected via the Control Panel.

The site has a menu structure controlled via the Menus tab on the Control Panel.

The arrangement of Articles within Menus is easily changeable via the Control Panel.

Articles can be input by any user with author status or above. Changed by Editors. Made visible by Publishers.

Managers or above can change Menus.

Articles can be defined as belonging to a Section which can be further divided into a Category.

Articles can be accessed from the Control Panel via the Content tab by Section and Category.

 

Mozilla/Firefox users might have a problem with cut/paste/copy using the mouse. Control C for Copy and Control V for paste works.

Summary of input of excel chart into a Joolma article using Open Office Calc and the Jomla editor, (Tiny URL?). Chart saved as xlsx 2007?

Latest EFNL results (first five rounds). No conversion to html just cut and paste from Open Office Calc. Still using "Paste from Word"

Latest Allrounder results added from Trevor. Open Office Calc conversion to Html. Copy then "Paste from Word" button in Joomla editor. Hint - bottom row 5 from left with a W  on a folder. You do need to be logged in though.
