Indoor Chuckie Indoor This event is based on the use of a piece of 36” x 3” x 1/16” balsa wood to construct a flying machine of any type without a drawn plan to carry out two tasks of distance and duration within the Club room. The competition is normally run at the February Club meeting. Picton Pot presented by Vic Thomas
Hand Launch F/F Field This is a free flight hand launch competition. The competition consists of the best 5 scoring flights from 10. The winner is the one with the highest aggregate score. TRL Cup presented by TVSF
60” Pylon BMFA (Foamie) League Slope These are slope racing competitions where two separate classes ‘foamie’ and crunchy (or hard) are run on the same day.  The course is 10 laps (20 legs) of approximately 80 metre. Each competitor scores according to their finishing position. There is a fly off for each class to determine the top positions. Normally 6 events are planned during the year. The scores from the best 4 events accumulate to determine the positions in each League. Berkshire Shield presented by TVSF and Crunchy League, Rhiw Trophy presented by Chris Moynihan
60” Pylon Foamie Annual slope This is a one off slope racing competition for ‘foamie’ models to the BMFA 60” rules. Nominally this is the 3rd pylon league event in the calendar with the results standing for both the Annual Pylon and as a foamie league event.   TVSF Cup presented by Graham Stallard
60” Pylon Crunchie Annual slope This is a one off slope racing competition for ‘hard’ models to the BMFA 60” rules. Nominally this is the 3rd pylon league event in the calendar with the results standing for both the Annual Crunchie Pylon and scoring as a crunchie league event. Slope Cross Country slope Held on a suitable hill site, this event is notable for the fun to be had by walking around a preset route whilst flying a model through various tasks and check points. Lancaster Pot presented by Ian Lancaster
Mini Glider league Field This league consists of a number of separate events (probably 6) and is the same format as the one off “Mini Glider” event. The Binfield Bucket presented by John Price
Miniglider Field This is a radio controlled hand launch (or short bungee) competition. The rules are based around the BARCS Mini Glider rules. The competition consists of the best 8 from 12 flights scoring. The winner is the one with the highest aggregate score. Bill Hatton Award presented by his family to commemorate Bill
Thermal Friday Night League Field This event is held on a number of Friday evenings (Nominally 6) at the flat field site and is to Open Rules over 4 rounds on each separate occasion. No prize is awarded for the winner at each occasion, but the overall winner is decided by the best 4 scores from 6 events. Moynihan Shield presented by Chris Moynihan
eSoaring Friday Night League Field This electric thermal event is held on a number of Friday evenings at the flat field site and is over four rounds on each separate evening. No prize is awarded for the winner at each occasion, but the overall league winner is decided by the best 4 scores from 6 events. Electric Shield presented by Alec Miles
eSoaring Competition Field This is an Electric Open class competition where gliders of any description can be used which simply have a device to limit their launch height. The contest is flown in rounds for duration and includes positional landings. Electric Cup presented by TVSF
100inch Thermal Field This is a thermal event open to models of less than 100 inch overall wingspan and is flown as a duration event with 3 or more rounds and a 2 round fly-off. Moss End Plate presented by TVSF
Open Thermal Field Moss End Trophy presented by Trevor  HornbyThis is an Open class competition where soarers of any description can be used. Flown in rounds for duration and positional landing skill towards a 2 round fly-off. This competition is thought by many to be the most prestigious event of the calendar. Multi-Task Field As the title suggests, different types of flying tasks are undertaken by a single model of any configuration. These are Speed, Duration and Distance. This event is great fun for all, but demands good all-round flying ability and a suitable model for competitiveness.
Aerobatic Slope This is a slope event. The model has to perform aerobatic manoeuvres as selected from a list. Each manoeuvre has a skill factor attached, which earns higher than nominal points. This an enjoyable event, judged by your peers, where nerve and flying skills are the important factors. Kingsclere Cup presented by Terry Antell
F3F Slope This is a slope speed competition. It is a timed event flying 1kilometre on a 100 meter course. Six rounds are run with the best five from six scoring. Each round is percentage scored. The competitions are based on the FAI rules for F3F. Watership Shield presented by John Conway-Jones
SLOPE SCALE (Provisional) Slope For scale and semi-scale soarers, this is a low-key, peer judged event. At the end of an informal day’s flying, everyone simply picks their winner.  This provisional event is excluded from the all-rounder.
Christmas Fun Competition Slope Arranged usually on the Sunday between Christmas and New Year. This is normally a slope contest with a slight difference. It’s a good idea to bring your foamy although anything that flies will do. TVSF Fun Cup. Presented by Trevor Hornby
Electric Cross Country Field This Cross Country event is primarily flat field contest combining the challenges of cross country and electric thermal. The rules are formulated from the BARCS SLG (Self Launch Glider) with the pilot travelling to tasks or turn points on the flat, adapted from slope cross country. The Propeller.
