Sunday 19th March
G'day,
well we awoke (some later than others) to the wonderful smell of a full English
breakfast, John Skinner with help from Vic Thomas performed miracles in the
kitchen. Nice one chaps!! of course someone had to take the mickey and used
their mobile phone whilst still in bed to phone Terry downstairs to inquire
when the breakfast would be ready!!!!!!!
Picture right shows morning briefing on house no.2's patio after Graham had
been over to the slope to check wind and direction, not good, light and variable
so flying in the garden began whilst we consider where to go.

Bill Hatton demonstrates the need for T.V.S.F. Members to spend so much time
in the pub, building up arm muscles picking up pints, and thus improving the
chuckie launch height.
After
a brief flying session on the southwest slope of the farm mainly lightweights
and electric's we moved over to Mynydd Gilan as the wind has gone West. Picture
right shows some there was some action although still lightweight. We are
waiting for a high pressure system to move away then we will be in business
for the rest of the week!!!
At 4-00pm we are back at the house for more electric flying
in the garden, and some car maintenance when Colin and Terry notice one of
Tony's tyres is just a tad bald!!!
All fifteen of us are of to the hotel for a meal tonight so the rounds are
going to be heavy.
Picture
left shows the results of getting carried away in light lift conditions (we
all do it) if you look carefully Graham Stallard can be seen retrieving his
hand launch model from the bottom of the slope, the camera angle tends to
flatten out the angle of this slope it was a long way down, but in typical
Graham style he shot down the slope picked up his model posed for the camera
and then ran back up.(He must have been a mountain goat in a previous life).
As I am writing this, the rest of the group that stayed a little
longer have just returned claiming the lift has improved dramatically and
they have had a superb session since we left. MAGIC!!! to quote Vic Thomas
who has just shouted into my ear.
So now the rest of us are looking forward to tomorrow's flying hopefully the
weather will be kind.
So check back to find out.
