The 60'' pylon racing season is now under way. Sixteen pilots including six from Meon Valley Soaring Association found there way to Laddle Hill to compete in 'pylon one'. The wind was 30-35 m.p.h.West South-West, making conditions far from perfect. With patchy and turbulent lift common through out the day. But we were lucky with only light rain for 15 minutes at midday.

Everybody busy getting ready for the days racing.

During the rounds there was some close and exciting racing, but not without the inevitable mid-airs. Why do they often involve the expensive models ?
Peter Williams sadly lost a Sharp to a mid-air, and I lost an Adrenaline. There was also a fair amount of general carnage to liven up the day (but don't let this put you off).

Four man rounds made for exciting racing.

Mass launch on left.

Line up of flyers with helpers at start line.

Graham Stallard winner on the day seen here as C.D. for this round.

An enjoyable day ! (hope my bank manager sees my point of view).
Well done Graham !
