Twinstar Fun

The Multiplex Twinstar has to be one of the best value for money kits available, it is certainly popular within the TVSF, with many examples built or being built (hurry up Colin).
There is no need to offer a building review as it has had rave reviews in the modelling
press, ask to see one of ours if you are interested.
Not only do they build very quickly (mine took a spare Sunday) but they also repair just as easily, don't ask me to recall the low level roll and a battery like shape flying from the model. ( DO NOT forget the VELCRO !!!!)

On the right is pictured Terry, Ian and Richard enjoying a day out flying their Twinstars (amongst other things) we really did have great fun, formation flying.
The Twinstar is very responsive and surprisingly aerobatic, with a 10 minute flight which is just about long enough for a decent fun-fly.

This picture should have demonstrated our formation launch technique from a wing tip to wing tip stance, but the camera man, who should remain nameless (Tony Morgan) missed it.

If we all launched at the same time why is Terry looking behind us ? you had better ask Terry. Don't accept his excuse to us, just because it was his first test flight. pahhhhh.

Once Terry had caught up it was laughter all the way, trying to loop, roll, stall turn in formation.
One of the funniest moments was the touch and go Terry and Richard completed theirs with Ian bringing up the rear and I don't think he would normally recommend a touch and go in the long grass but he gave it his best shot, never mind !!!!

By the way the big tree in the distance behind Terry's head is now out of bounds, another question you will have to ask Terry.

Pictured on the right is Alan Butterworth, about to enjoy(?) his Twinstar in Wales back in March.

He is really to be held responsible for missing funds in some of our bank accounts (if wives/girlfriends are reading this) shortly after our return from one of the now infamous TVSF holiday's. Due to the lack of wind for slope soaring, Alan's Twinstar achieved a lot of stick time in the adjacent field, to cries of I must have one, also to the extent of visiting the local model shop to purchase a handful, but that's another story on it's own.

If you want an inexpensive, fun, easy to repair model get the credit card out and join us for some formation Twinstar flying another ten or twenty should do, perhaps we will only need Zagi's and Twinstar's in future.
